There is so much to unpack here: the not-quite-healthy relationship that just feels so good, too good. The conflicting knowledge that you seem all too aware of: /My head is telling me to drink more, my liver screams “GET IT TOGETHER!”/ Been there, done that too many times. Vodka was my liquor of choice, and Stoli was my dear friend (along with Camels) for a good while many years ago. The fact that the knowledge is there speaks volumes to you as a person. Beautifully penned, P.G. The plot thickens, I like the shift in perspective, a different character a different point of view. Also reveals information to fill in the gaps between characters that only the reader is privy to, nicely done. Great flow on the information in the dialogue revealed by Mr. Knight. I think you’re a natural at this writing thing. Appreciate you.
