Steadfast Flame
Do not tire, do not fade
your small light still guides the way.Lift your hands, whisper your hope
let mercy fall where hearts are closed.Breathe, and breathe again
grace softens stone
faith carries flame.Rise each day

Love the art work!! It’s true I think, that we need to keep on going, to be the hope that keeps the lights on or the candle lit. Often, I think, people do not understand the effect they have on others, how their words or actions give people hope, a reason to keep going on. Yes, I can hear that silence. It’s the silence of a mother whose son has been cut down in a gang war or a war in a foreign country. Or the anguish of needing formula for our kids but no money to buy it. It’s the search for decent work, but not enough education to get it.
