    Strangers Camp in the Mind

    • You speak of a bizarre situation. If it’s not dementia than it’s paranoia. That can be hard to deal with, especially when moving to another state is seriously considered. Definitely a case for stress for the one who has to listen to it all. Good one, Thomas.

    • Oh wow, I swear I know these people. Unfortunately, in the case of mine, they’re not fully imagining things. When a bit of real harassment is lad down, it builds on a mind until everything becomes subject to suspect. It sucks for those observing and listening, but more so for them. Solid write here

    • I enjoy writes that are unexpected and take you on a journey.
Good or bad. This write is excellent. I personally loved

      Patience like a prayer,
      thinking until my brain bruises.

This whole piece is pretty awesome, bizarre and all.

    • “But then they glance at me.
      And those eyes cut through.
Like I’m part of it now.”

Hauntingly penned, Thomas. Another excellent write with amazing storytelling my friend. The verse above gave me goosebumps. It’s always feels like we’re on a journey in your stories. Nicely done as always. Appreciate you.

    • Footsteps that do not belong to the house are a rupture, not necessarily danger,
but a shift in the contract between space and silence.
They mark the moment when architecture stops being loyal.

      Appreciate you!

    • I echo your thoughts Damian. I mentioned to a friend the other day that everything is corrupt now – Companies…people in business…the government…car dealers…you name it. It’s like we’ve gotten to a point where scamming people is the norm now. Great write my friend.

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Tim. So glad you connected with the write my friend. That it is, everything is about turning a buck, with doing as little as possible. What’s saddest is it doesn’t bring them any happiness. Appreciate you.

    • Oh you know I’m over here furiously nodding and grabbing logs for the fire. I have come to the place of having to mute and cover the face of the colostomy bag. It’s not worth the heart palpitations and anger rising. I refuse to allow my health to be further deteriorated by that overstuffed cheese puff. Another marshmallow, my friend? I’m adding wood to the fire!

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the write my friend. I figured you might get fired up reading this one. I’m so tired of trying to figure out who’s still buying this bullshit, it can’t get anymore obvious that he’s out over his fucking skis, he’s beyond compromised at this point. I could go for a marshmallow. See you at the bonfire. Appreciate you.

    • This was not only powerful but very relatable because many of us are feeling the frustration, watching the corruption take place. But you’re right, it won’t end nice and then more of the atrocities will unfold.
Thank you for sharing. Great work.

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Wally. So glad you connected with the write my friend. The corruption is off the charts and I agree more atrocities will unfold unfortunately. Appreciate you.

    • hello dearest Brandon I would think you were always enough it hurts to be with someone who can’t keep up with you but you don’t want to leave behind heartfelt ❤️

    • Thank you Crimsin. Always nice to hear from you

    • This reminds me of a conversation I had with my friend once. I said “If my friend is going under, I’m going in after them.” And his reply was “Wow, not a lot of people are willing to enter darkness for the sake of someone else.” Which might be part of the world’s problems, in my opinion. This has a lot of depth and compassion in it

    • Well said, Curly. I think God is within us and not up in the sky sitting on a throne. Sometimes we need to sit for a while in silence to feel it, and then appreciate it.

    • Beautifully penned, CG. Amazing write my friend. Nicely done per usual. Appreciate you.

  • The Moment I Stay Still

You want to steal my heart
    and keep it…
but you say it like you’re certain
    I won’t notice.

Maybe I’ll let you get close enough
    to try.

    Maybe I wanted to see
    how you’d hold it,
    whether your hands tremble
    before they tighten
    when something precious
    leans your way.

But don’t mistake my stillness…Read More
