Too many ghosts, too many horrors in that field, Neville. I can imagine if you look close enough, you can see blood mingling with the grass, feel the stabs and thrusts, hear the screams. A place where even a blue sky, soaring hawks, and warm sun, cannot make this place feel safe, welcoming.
Beautifully written Neville.

Although seemingly it was just a field, it was also one of those rather special places I happened to stumble upon that had its own very strong atmosphere .. a bit like Lourdes, or Deeley Plaza (for me anyway) .. and it was only afterwards when I did a spot of research that I found out about the history .. I can still feel it now as I type this thank you .. Thanks a million Curt .. Neville 😎👍

War is not for lovers, nor for any real human… Unfortunately even when you don’t want to fight, sometimes there is no other option. sadly… it’s the people who get the bad consequence while the ones in power stay in power, greed… greed and more greed… their ego seems never to be filled, and I don’t believe these kind of people will learn anything, because they don’t look to this as “mistake”. Still, good peaceful coffee morning ☕☕ dearest Neville ✨🌻

Neville, many snaps and hell yeses, plus a ‘bag of chips’, as an old friend used to say.
In a similar situation, my first wife had tears in her eyes when she handed me the papers to sign. Maybe it was thinking about failure, cause what she said was “we were supposed to be forever.” True enough, but we had both changed and couldn’t find what we once had. It was extremely disheartening, since it was her who had the affair and ended it.
Life is strange I think. Why is it that even as memories become “fragmented” and “distanced”, they never go away completely, they haunt, reminding me of my failure to love her better.

Thanks loads for stopping by these words of mine Curt .. it’s a funny old game isn’t it .. life I mean .. and what we can’t change or forget often makes for half decent poetry .. This kind of put me in a sad mood, separation, memories… the human psychic. when we think we moved on, yet suddenly something comes up and everything comes to the surface. yes true, life is unpredictable, what we might think it’s love in a moment, later it might appears it’s not, what we were once, later we might not be. from togetherness to separation.
