    Brethren Of The Shadow

Hear me, brethren of the Shadow, you consecrated few, do not lament the light that shrank to cinder dust, in the eternal fault, the failure calcified. Who taste the bitter loam where broken faiths accrue. For we are pledged...

    No Leaves To Rustle

No leaves to rustle, no birds to nest,on tree skeletons with brittle cones.A haunting grace waiting the thaw, with a promise green, never be. As winds sigh through cages of bones,a dark beauty of their final rest. With hollowed music, lonely and...

    • This is a very beautiful and meaningful poem with rich imagery and brilliant wording, dear Adagio. Every season holds its own beauty! Most people appreciate only autumn’s colorful farewell. But in all its tristesse, the grey, rainy and foggy days, autumn demonstrates how to die with grace, knowing that without its dying there would be no rebirth within the circle of life in nature. Great work!

    • Thank you, Sappho.

    I Remembered You

    • Wonderful tribute, Fia. You brought out the essence of what it’s all about.

    • A worthy and well deserved tribute

    • Great tribute for a very special day.
      Thank you for posting this:)

    • Fia, the river of your compassion for our soldiers flowed like deep channel of understanding and empathy here. This also flowed beautifully as a poem. I could feel the emotions you evoked with this poem. This is truly a poem of remembrance and understanding for people who sadly are left behind long after the battle is over because their battle continues long after the war is over.

    • Beautifully penned, Fia. Excellent tribute piece my friend. Appreciate you, cuz.

      Damian

    • Your brilliant poem shines with empathy, respect and understanding. Sadly, history repeats itself again and again. How many reminders like your heart touching and thought provoking poem will be needed until humankind learns to solve conflicts non-violently? Peace my friend!

    • Chère F.,
      What an exceptional write!
And before we point the finger of blame (if this is English) it is good to know that every country made their own mistakes at one time or another.
And as Goldenmyst says: the battle continues long after the war is over.

What an immense victory of talent (yours) over matter.

      Warm regards, Gus

      • Thank you, Gus. No blame shaming at all. Just acknowledging people are people and these particular people should be honored. Every country should honor its soldiers.

    • Fantastic tribute. Well said.

    • It seems all these years later, we are still hearing the reverberation of the lyrics to John Lennon’s song, “Imagine”. Living life in peace. When will it ever be?

    • I enjoyed the absence of light in this write. How for some it’s befitting.
You expressed that feeling throughout this piece.
      Nice work.

    • Thank you, Adelphina.

    • Tough pain can do this, mental disorderes can do this… All I can feel is someone who is trapped inside their mind, there is nothing and no one only them and their mind. You did great with expressing and delivering the emptyness and numbness. I very much like the title, it’s perfect.
