Reality of Now
we could spend our time talking
catching up on our day to day
going over little details

we have…right here
right now

and who knows when you’ll be backso let’s drop the illusion
that there’s any more time…

Holding Hands
When they began
They held hands
They smiled
They illuminated the skyChairs were held

There is a motion, a movement to everything, to life. It has a direction and it is forward, not backward. For love to last, it has to change as the people involved change and as the world around them change. I have found this is how love, or any relationship, evolves, strengthens and continues. It is fun to remember the way we were, but even more…Read More

Beautifully penned, Fia. Excellent write with amazing storytelling my friend. Dig the Star Trek reference by the way. Nicely done as always. Appreciate you, Cuz.

“Would you ever want the loop to end?“
That’s a great, almost philosophical question. Some people like to escape a loop because they only see the endless repetition of the same actions. To me it holds the chance to experience new aspects of old routines on the basis of familiar facts. It’s adventurous and reliable at the same time.
Great write, dear Fia! -
I recently had a co worker/friend who lost her husband. He was a young guy too. I read this feeling like you could have wrote this for them, and my heart breaks all over. Thank you for this sad beautiful read.

Finding a soul mate is hard enough in a lifetime but then losing them?
Yes, that ending line does beg the question many people would agree to.
Great piece.

Insidious
I’m willing to sacrifice myself
to prove the truth
of my words
of meare you willing to do the same?
lies…
in time…
will be uncovered
and everyone will seethe scuttling
ear to ear
insidiously whispering
it will be seenI have never changed
eventually they’ll know
and perhaps remember

I think that perhaps the question might be, do they have a conscious to listen to?? Often the conscious is suppressed by the ego of self, and thinking that self is the be all and end all of everything. Hell, it’s even written into the Constitution… ‘the pursuit of happiness’. My happiness versus your happiness. What an “insidious” way to live!!…Read More

The idea that one person’s “right or wrong” should apply to all is absolute arrogance. And the thought that disagreement on concept or friend choice should be cause for attack is insane. Differences are what we’re made of, it’s what makes us beautiful as a human ra e, and it’s our greatest strength…if we embrace them with love. To turn on others…Read More

Willow I was a target of gossip. A lie was told and the person who started it turn beet red when I confronted her with the person who she accused me of talking about. This poem is a slammer.

I try my best to not engage in that sort of interactions. If someone says something negative about someone else, I immediately wonder what they’re saying about me when I’m not there. I don’t know what they gain by it. Once the truth comes out, they look even worse. But they never seem to figure that out until it’s too late. Thank you, Fia

The person who whispered lies about me was a bully. Thought they’d always get their way because the mask they wore for everyone else was so attractive. That’s pretty much what I see when I look at the current completely corrupt regime. You know they’re lying because their lips are moving. But the fanatics still follow their premier bully like the blind sycophants they are. When the blinders fall, it’s gonna get ugly. We might just need a bigger bonfire, my friend

We used to say “seize the day, seize the hour,” and after reading your poem Willow, I might add, “the time is now, seize the power”. The power of camaraderie and not allowing anything to stand in the way. I think Anise Nin would be happy with your poem, Willow. It is alive with the passion of sharing experiences of the now. Beautifully written, Willow.
