Powerfully penned, Keith. That’s a lot of what addiction does, it waits for you to get complacent. Especially in the beginning, I speak from experience. Sometimes I had to talk myself down early on, it’s the toughest part of getting clean. Great write my friend. Appreciate you.

We all have our addictions. And as much as we want to get away from them they are embedded into our souls. Like rot.
Great ink, friend.

In the beginning, I think we are all selfish. I want him or her because I know what they can do for me or to me. Then the honeymoon phase is over and you’re left alone to start again. Nice

Definitely. I wrote this a year or so ago after my uncle died. He was a man that worked all his life. Was someone that was financially stable, and overnight got dementia and lost everything. Didn’t even have a penny to his name when he died. Just made a lot of bad decisions and was stubborn when it came to preparing for tragedy.
Thanks for the read. Much appreciated.

Brilliantly penned, Nick. This is an incredible write my friend, and all very true. To quote David Lee Roth: ” There’s not much distance between a pat on the back, and a kick in the pants!” Appreciate you.
