    Students

Students We are both students of different forms of beauty .. My lady labours in front of tall mirrors daily to perfect her art .. And whilst she is the most severe critic of each                                      fresh line or blemish she might eventually find...

    • Aww, that is insightful. As long as you did not do a “Hickory Dickery Dock” poem I am sure your poems landed it mark more often than you want to admit.

      • Ha .. Bless you Fia .. I’m afraid the clock eventually caught up with me .. but that aside .. I’m sure you already know that a true gentleman never tells .. 😎💛👍

    • Certainly your art is the real one! the art that shapes the inner self caring less about the materials, sure we (specially us women😏) should take care of our outside beauty but not neglecting the inside one, inner beauty shines on the face, outside beauty feels hallow. and don’t worry, even if we are good with our art, it doesn’t mean that we can get the specific man we want lol, anyway… I love this smart, brilliant one dear Neville, good coffee ☕ morning and POETRY (hint!) ;)..

    • I’m still struggling to get a handle on this site my friend .. But You are incredibly insightful, astute, self aware and bloomin kind .. Thank you so much for the visit and your understanding .. Neville 🌻⭐💛👍

    • Cleverly penned, Neville. I got a sense of Deja Vu, that ending seems familiar. Excellent write my friend. I can relate. Appreciate you.

    WAIT

    • How do I go back to edit a typo ?

    • I hope the tea still retained some flavor.
AS Tom Petty sang, “the waiting is the hardest part.”
This poem shows real love and patience with a long term relationship.
They can work…I was in a couple of them…eventually it became too much…but for quite some time, we hung in there.
I feel the emotion of this.

    • Thanks Jacob much appreciated it’s really fiction for me but it’s more about grief waiting to see in next life
Great site loving it 😊 thanks 🙏

    • So wonderfully simple even if fictional.

      Welcome aboard the Starsite Enterprise.

    • Ah, the active waiting while also having to move on with the life you still have. When you truly love someone, they stay in your heart forever, and you perfectly captured that here.

    • It’s funny how when they’re alive and they go to the store or some other mundane chore, some may never think about them. And yet when their departure is permanent we can’t get them out of our minds.

    • That awfulness of waiting Julie, and then the realization that it is permanent. Grief is all consuming, but eventually it softens. Life goes on, but how difficult it can be to navigate without a loved one. Relatable words.
