    • Powerfully penned, Adel. Excellent write with a lot of fire my friend. Amazing flow with a lyrical vibe, makes sense being you’re listening to music. I know I’m not alone now, I write while listening to music as well. Nicely done as always. Appreciate you.

      Damian

      • Hi Damien!

Nope you are not alone! For me music opens doors in my mind when I’m writing.
It really does. It brings different tones or vibes to my write. Hope that makes sense:)
And please know I appreciate you too!

        Thanks for stopping by!

    • Talk about a cataclysmic write! I bet this was fun to capture! 🙌

      • Hi Willow.

It was fun. Sometimes when writing it’s also just as important to catch our adrenaline too.
My pulse was pumping with this write. Hahaha
        Hope that makes sense!

        Thanks for stopping by!

    • Dear A,

Chaos in color. Sounds like my closet and then my brain. But mostly my closet. My brain is largely grey matter. I’m off topic hang on…I’m back- I’m a fucking carnivore too! Shred it sister. I really dug this because it is edgy and it is raw. And it makes me want to ditch convention and just be feisty. Fabulous.
      Just fabulous. H 🌷

      • Hi H!

I would love to see your closet, I’m intrigued now. Haha
And I have seen your brain!
It’s a beautiful brain- you are an awesome writer- don’t forget that!
You should have a little spice daily chica.
At least one little teaspoon a day, just like honey. It’s good for your soul. Trust me!
I’m so happy to see ya on my page sister!

        Love ya and miss ya!

    The Weight of Death

It feels like such a shameall that laughter, conversation, all those ordinary afternoons together. They just lowered him into the groundlike a basket of rotting bread, carefully, as if it still mattered. I hate death. He’s so selfish -he arrives already decided, and leaves everything...

    • I’m with you dearest Tim I hate death, the look of it, the feelings it brings the unfairness, I was watching a nature program about a grizzly cub and it’s mom she led him high into the snowy mountains but the incline was too steep for the cub he tried so many times to follow her just to land on the rocks below to die it made me cry it was unfair… great write ❤️

      • Wow, that sounds awful. Even animals can be unobservant to their young, I guess. Thanks for the comment, Crimsin.

    • This is deep.
Death is unfair and painful for loved ones. It absolutely feels unfinished.
      Great perspective Tim.

    • Powerfully penned, Tim. Another great write my friend. We all fear death. Appreciate you.

      Damian

    • This feels tender in its grief. The simplicity makes the hurt more real.

    • Wow my friend! This is a punchy and powerful view of death. Yes the unfinished business both between people and creatively that death leaves incomplete. If only we could have more time to finish our lives and do the things we set out to. And then there are the interpersonal relationships with unfinished business. Old wounded things that were never healed or forgiven between people. I know so well what your poem speaks of. You take the most important thing in life death and put it into a concise form that explores the crucial facets of death with great poetry.

    • Interesting comment, Crimsin. Thank you.

    • I’m digging dark Tim!
These two stanzas build quite the image and feeling.
Truly enjoyed this other side of your writing:)

    • Well this is interesting! I love the tie in with her as the subject header. It’s a tight rhyme scheme, very clever.

    • Cleverly penned, Tim. Excellent write with amazing flow my friend. Nicely done. Appreciate you.

      Damian

    • Tim as a huge fan of Emily Dickinson I can truly say this poem is uniquely composed and the crypt approach is an exquisitely new one applied to the great poet lady. You took me into her resting place with words that were vivid and strong and enveloped me in the sense of her final plot. Truly a wonderfully new and innovative view of the great poet lady. Loved this.

    Heave Silence

    words recede
    when darkness settles
and sound is heard only at the edges
    muffled though they be…
    silent sobs and absolute grief
    louder in my senses
than gunshots and shouts of jubilation
because we all know where hate takes us
but only some will see it
    guess it’s only visible…
from the barrel end of a gun

    • It sounds like moment of redemption. The darkness seems to have control it all.

It talks about gunshots, shouts of jubilation over hate, and staying “triggered.” It’s that “eye for an eye” energy where the fight never ends because everyone is “just warming up” to hurt each other back.

      • The only way to fight hate is with love and compassion. Standing together in the face of adversity and having each other’s back.

        • Yes exactly… With love always to defeat against the darkness that will not win. Good write keep it up .
