Heave Silence
words recede
when darkness settles
and sound is heard only at the edges
muffled though they be…
silent sobs and absolute grief
louder in my senses
than gunshots and shouts of jubilation
because we all know where hate takes us
but only some will see it
guess it’s only visible…
from the barrel end of a gun
to them…it’s simply a god-given right
but their choice of expression leaves us…
triggered…
smoking…
not yet fired
but still undefeated
see…we’re just warming up
and the fight…
isn’t over yet3 Comments

It sounds like moment of redemption. The darkness seems to have control it all.
It talks about gunshots, shouts of jubilation over hate, and staying “triggered.” It’s that “eye for an eye” energy where the fight never ends because everyone is “just warming up” to hurt each other back.
