Reminds me of a poem I wrote around the whole invasion of iraq. The poem is lost to me, but I remember some of the lines were.
“you can go ahead and die for your country
I value my life over everything
and if I’m gonna die
it’s not gonna be me wasted away
for a bunch of fucking creeps”This poem has fire and I love that.

I’m gonna say I would love to throw a shoe at Joey G. If Adira doesn’t get him with her boot first. Ironically, I know a lot of musicians. All young & vibrant…& all in Nebraska. It would be amazing to see your words given the credit & voice they deserve. My partner wanted me to do songwriting for musicians but I shut it down because I “only write poetry.” 🤦♀️ I would write with you any day though. I’ll keep your offer in mind my friend, I’m thinking about trying to use GarageBand to arrange the music, and I’m gonna sing the songs myself. But down the road anything’s possible.
