    Obscure

The joker’s always grinning He’s grinning at your pain Negative vibes are spinning Taking root inside your brain   A wicked sin turns violent When it’s got nothing pure Cold stare remaining silent Preferring to remain obscure      Copyright @ Damian DeadLove 2024

    • Nice rhythm love the joker in batman creation

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Fia. So glad you connected with the write my friend. Joker, is pure madness. lol. Funny enough the first two lines came from lyrics to an old song that J.J. Burton and I wrote together. The rest of the words weren’t up to par. But always loved those first two lines. Appreciate you.

    • Why so serious? Lol 🃏
But seriously, this is very good, Damian.

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Alexandria. So glad you connected with the write my friend. Such an iconic Joker line. Appreciate you.

    • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Mary. So glad you connected with the write my friend. It’s not really about the Joker, to be truthful. The first two lines are from an old song that was just a silly song that J.J. Burton and I penned the words to in like 1993. But I always liked the first two lines, so I just wrote something else to them. He mentioned the Joker because he was a fan, and I just used that to make the first two lines. lol. A little backstory for you, I always ramble on. lol. Appreciate you.

    • hello dearest Damian I really liked this one I guess the joker would kind of be Lucifer always laughing at peoples pain really your poem rocks as they do anyway 💕

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Brenda. So glad you connected with the write my friend. I think the joker could be Lucifer, but I was also thinking that darker side we all have inside. Really it could apply to any form of a personal demon, different to each person. Sorry for rambling. lol. Appreciate you.

    • The first thought I have is a person or boss egging you on while you struggle.or just being smug. Laughing at your pain kinda thing.

      Great ink, friend

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Nick. So glad you connected with the write my friend. That’s also a possibility, it could kinda be that person that’s a thorn in my side. Great commentary. Appreciate you.

    • As usual, I may be reading this wrong. But I’m feeling a sense of apathy is just as deadly as hate/evil. Those who don’t speak up for others, give their silence as a voice to the bullies. It definitely has my mind going, my friend

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the write my friend. I can see that, you always have cool insight to the meaning, always enjoy your commentary. Appreciate you.

    • Every one of us has the power to heal & to harm within us. It’s which course we choose to follow that separates the healers from the rest. Beautiful, Brenda 🧡

      • hello lovely Willow this is true it is always my intent to make things nicer it doesn’t always go that way no matter what sometimes thank you for the love on this 💕

    • Even with faith we will still struggle. I guess pain is a part of life when it comes. For many, faith has its benefits and joys. For others it’s a fantasy made up by humans. I suppose our minds and how we think plays a big part.

      • my faith perhaps is not as strong as others though I do know God I struggle with suffering thank you for your thoughts 💕

    • Great write Brenda.
I now realise that pain is quite different from suffering. Most, if not all, our suffering arises in the mind…..
that’s also where peace hangs out.
      💋

      • hello dearest Benny my mind cause me to hurt with the way I perceive the world… I watch the news and ache with the pain of my brothers and sisters…there is an unrest in me that doesn’t understand such mind scarring events what is the nature of that? thank you for listening 💕

    • Powerfully penned, Brenda. Incredible write my friend. Appreciate you.

    • Truth 🙏🌼

    • Thank you 😊

    • Brilliantly penned, Willow. Into the book it belongs! So much truth in this write my friend. There are multiple sources to learn from, and everybody has something new they can learn. Kindred spirts, I connect with this. Appreciate you.

      Damian

      • This one goes back to 2016. Had to dust her off & bring her into daylight again. The problem with learning from only one source is the bias that becomes inherent in it. Probably why this world is in such bad shape now. Everyone believes their way is the only way. And the users take full advantage of that. Thank you, my friend

    • hello beautiful Willow I think in a large part you have a loving and tender heart and some people don’t we encounter them and sometimes deeply resent these people but I am like you thinking there is a lesson in even that…it’s just not always easy to see… you are emotionally gorgeous and people who don’t get are too young to great write 💕

      • I don’t think we truly grown without all those lessons. Some of the lessons suck stinky eggs, but we still learn. Thank you, beautiful 🧡

    • I think, in one way or another, that most have some important qualities. Well done. .

      • Having a mind open enough to recognize it is where many fail at seeing those facets. Thank you 😊

    • Powerful work. Tremendous

    • I hate the thought of just how selfish and unempathetic people have become. We should all stay humble and never look down on others.

      Great ink

      • I think it’s human nature to fall in with the masses. Just some of us can’t unsee…& seeing makes it all that much harder to swallow the kool-aid. Thank you 😊

    • Girl, you don’t even know how much strength I’ve gained just in knowing you. Thank you, my fellow warrior!

    • Bravo, hun, bravo!!!

      Luvin this!!!

      • I burned my filters, remember? The flame is still lit…I’m just warming up
