Stormy in Mississippi too! I love storms. I have no idea why I like them, but I love the analogy you draw between yourself and the ‘moody’ sea… the aftermath of destructive power… the hint of resolution and ultimate clarity. We live in a constant flux. The shoreline is so telling.

I could relate to this poem. It’s not “stupid”. We all fall for “fictional” men and women.

I love the way you use repetition in this piece, and the rhyme is really nice. I like the message. Fictional men have no faults, so they are easy to fall for. It reminds me of an old song called Imaginary Lover by Atlanta Rhythm Section.
