The Last Laugh
I used to laugh once,
not out loud
but to myself, when
I heard them
queuing at bus stops
and moaning
about time and how
did that happen
and where did that go
blah bla etc etc
of course, I now get it ..
I feel the whole
world through the sole
of each shoe
and all these miserable
joints of mine
are nothing to laugh at ..
believe me,
the grass is not always
greener at all ..
and as I wait my turn
in this queue
here by a roadside, I’m
pretty sure if
I listen, long and hard
enough, then
I might hear someone
laughing over
my shoulder, not out
loud perhaps,
but far more remotely
and to themself ..

Powerfully penned, Neville. Another excellent write with many layers my friend. Amazing read as always. Appreciate you.

Thank you kindly Damian .. Believe me, I appreciate you too .. Neville
I guess even if we are wise and have enough awareness, still to have the experience is something else. When we are young we are young, when we are old we are old even if our hearts are not, and thus we have to understand this and respect our bodies about that. I might be not that “old” but I can understand and feel this. May all your joints and knees be as strong as a Lion!⚡
Bless You Light .. You just made me see more clearly & and my joints say hi to yours by the way .. Neville 😎🌻💛👍
