night wandered alone, dark feet encased in silent comfort
dreams a decor – silver starred, lined with whispered perfection
eyes gazing, appraising – meandering future thoughts
dared – in an unholy language via its blushing thesaurus
pages blurred with dubious regard yet -nil misunderstood
little excluded, because, my dear, you are the perfect student
deserving a sip of my silk scarf dipped in your preference. heady,
mixed with precious turns, right left and betwixt smiles
tending to laugh, fun in fixed perfection – birth, life, lived
in intention ideal, chorus walked ‘pon dew-damp grass –
chilled, but simmering to celsius warmth.

Great!
Many thanks, Adagio. But, not meaning to ask for special attention BUT, what is it that makes you say ‘great’?
Beautifully penned, Emma. Incredible write, effortless flow and piercing imagery. Appreciate you.

Just about found my way around this site. In fact, is easier each time I wipe my feet on the welcome mat! Many thanks fo your visit and kind words.
Your review is a wonderful start to my sweet dreams, sir! (04.27 in the UK)
Such a rich and layered piece. I love how it drifts like a dream, full of texture and sensation. The imagery feels both mysterious and intimate, especially in the way it moves from silence into warmth.
Thank you so very much; you found what I’d tried to say: yes, silence into warmth
This is such a deeply moving piece. You take us there & there is a breathtaking place. I’m a sucker for dew-laden grass in the mornings.
Many thank yous, Willow. You have found what I tried to say without over-stating. Is said that feet soaked in dew remain innocent for life!
I could see this printed within a book. It’s just the right amount of personal note along with staying on a creative writing avenue. It’s mature (educated) yet intoxicating.
Well crafted poetry.
I could go overboard with thanks, Styxian! I try very hard to get to the core of writing the use of my own words! I was initially a short story writer but now destined to try my hand at poetry. Not easy! Take care.
