I abandon the warmth
of my heavenly delusions
with eyes still as ice
and a tropical smile.
Beyond this body –
a frigid, judgmental world.
Within this body –
a warm, safe world.
Yet, my soul’s restless to escape.
Offering my open hand in vanity,
hoping to grasp another,
who’s foreign to judgments.
Hallucinating the human touch,
no one is really there…

There is so much said in this one. That 2nd stanza felt so familiar, and that last stanza was a gut punch
