dreaded cause to feel so lost, seeping in darkness
inside midnight's keep falling deeper
sorrowful sin I begin again to rectify
my tale of old, leacherous need, desiring to be sated
my caution ignored, when I let the man in
into my heart, against better judgement
weeping for things not seen but felt
feelings awry keen
beside myself with ache
falling down into a well of pain
it would be this way
scarcity of honesty, would be my undoing
sacred truth could not be found
when looking in the faces of people
searching the eyes and seeing nothing
this man of desire, had fire
if nothing else he showed passion
so I dare, come closer
to the edge of my destruction
burning in love for a darkling
my romantic side damned me
leading me down a winding road of deception
where I would lose myself in lust...forever
