…with a time to hither in this space,
a deep wood breath, where air slows
down
thick with moss and green sleeves,
between shadow and oak listening
to cicada
Genesis exhales dissolving into prints,
of archelogy with a time to hither
in this space
uncurling the mind clinging to earth,
beneath the pillars of heaven,
listening to cicada

There’s something wonderfully grounding about this, as if the mind can finally quiet itself and let the earth speak. You make the woods feel ancient and alive, Atticus. 🙂
We are losing the woods to build condos and parking lots while nature is on life support.
