she is
the beacon of my inclination
a breeze that impales me
quirky yet… cool
how I wish to woo her
take her away
as for me
who might I be?
simply a hunched back freak!
oh Beatrix
why can’t I be
the man of your dreams?
if only I was more useful
but I’m just a tool
hitting your lovers over their heads
as you lead them to the church
sewing their selected parts to Adam
your vision of the “perfect man”

she barks her orders at me
-“Igor, cut out this ones face”
“yes Beatrix”
-“mmmm, and those arms
make sure you sew them to Adams torso”
“yes Beatrix”
(she is so… irresistible)
I start cutting off limbs
and replacing them with others
he begins to scream
so I kick him repeatedly
“shut your mouth!”
oh Beatrix
tame my heart
please tell me
this isn’t for naught
covered in blood
wiping the smears from my brow
could it be?
no
it can’t
she’s staring my way

her demeanor gets aggressive
more forceful
I can see she’s in desperation
wanting so badly to finish
it eats at her dreams
I know
she tosses as I look fondly at her sleep
much too over worked
oh Beatrix
was this all necessary?
if it will make you happy
I’d kill a million for you
in the morning we put together the final parts
-“something’s off’
she says
looking fondly into my eyes
she goes into the kitchen
grabs an ice cream scoop
“are we celebrating?”

“ahhhh!!!”
she scoops out my left eye
blood gushes down my face
“no Beatrix, please
we can be
just you
and… ME!
no need for Adam
he is just an a…a…a…
abomination!!”
I start to wrestle the scoop away
surprisingly she kisses the back of my hands
telling me she always admired them
the scoop falls to the floor
as do our clothes
Adam groans in the background
in unison we say
“OH will you shut up!”

      • It was one of my favorites if not my favorite. I originally released it as a collaboration. The person I wrote it with I had a falling out with them. So I took out there parts and put in some of my original ideas for the poem. I got the idea from the movie May.

Thanks for the read. Much appreciated.
