Summary:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMbrfKP2H38 Here is a link to my YouTube channel where I read my poetry. My books are available on Amazon. My latest being, Sleep Always Calls.

Some poems seem to write
themselves;
I just move the pen.
Others are like lumps
of clay;
they refuse to be molded;
they need moisture and time.
This one is like
a robin that just learned
to use its wings.
It heads west, on a
gentle breeze, into
a tangerine sky.

    1. Thomas this speaks to me of deep abiding beauty in a timeless land. The imagery of the robin just learning to use its wings taking flight on the Western wind is just sublime. Loved reading this tonight.

    2. I agree with you, Thomas…that some poems actually write themselves, especially the ending, which I find to be quite surprising when the moment offers itself to me. I especially loved the eloquence and poetic nature of a “tangerine sky”. Wow, now why haven’t I ever thought of that? Good to have another transplant from the WC at the helm. Good seeing you, Thomas!
