In my mind
I opened the sky
and climbed a staircase
so high so high
Cumulus clouds
under my toes
cold then wet
and whiter than snow
Brightest blue
you sing to the sea
when I am at home
you set me free
Only then
do the dragons fly
back up to
their palace of ice
Where the sun sets
in a sky turned gold
I live I dream
unfettered and bold.

I like the rhyming scheme and the poem.

I loved this, the second stanza especially, so carefree and childlike. This poem made me want to leave my troubles behind and go with you.
I needed to read this poem this morning. Thank you, Detritus.
