I knew the secrets of the hunter
I felt the instincts of the prey
I took my shots and missed the target
There has to be a better way
I thought I knew the hands of nature
I didn’t really know at all
You can’t erase your blood stained hands
When you’re trapped against the wall
In my mind I hear the screaming
In my eyes I see the cries
In my hands I feel the tremors
Where closest friends said their goodbyes
I thought I knew the hands of nature
Now I cannot see before
The pathway came and took my answers
And all that’s left is fate and war
I want to learn to live again
I want to let go of the pain
I want to know there is a valley
Where there’s no red inside the rain
I thought I knew the hands of nature
But will I ever be at peace
With the echoes that surround me
While the world is out of reach

“I want to learn to live again
I want to let go of the pain
I want to know there is a valley
Where there’s no red inside the rain”
Powerfully penned, Brandon. Another excellent write that naturally flows my friend. This one like many of your poems has a very lyrical vibe, almost like you may have done some songwriting in your past. The stanza above hits hard, it gives me goosebumps. That is a good thing by the way. Nicely done as always. Appreciate you.

To answer your question. I cannot say I have written a song, but I am influenced by song. If that makes sense. I appreciate your kind words as always. This review meant a lot.
