Once the raging waves finally settle
There is a silence so deafening
A shell once strong, now crumbling
How foolish to believe it was made of metal
Disheartening to find to be as frail as a petal
Longing for her tender hands feels troubling
The hunger to be seen can be humbling
But on do I search for a love so gentle
I miss the sweet whispers told
Amongst the stars we laid
Just the two of us in the night
I miss having her to hold
While she would serenade
Under the moonlight
