Summary:
I was feeling big feelings while cleaning that mess and wrote this up in the group chat, which everyone claimed it was poetry so here you go. My silly writings.

Through my sickly haze
The burdensome cough syrup rules my everything
It has spilt across my carpet
Reaking its menthol properties
In a panic, i dab away at the stain
Pouring water, soap, and dabbing
Water, Soap, Dab
Water. Soap. Dab.
My hands are red with cough syrup much like the carpet
All I can smell is cough syrup
All I can taste is cough syrup
The stain growing in size mocks me
Water, soap, dab.
The gleeful voice in the other room
Unknowing of my misdeeds drones on
Water. Soap. Dab.
The stain is slowly dissipating into a faint pink
The terrible floor pillow used as a mattress
Rests heavily on my back
Because of course it spilled slightly under it
Like a metaphor of the weight in this catastrophe
My glasses are of the many victims of this cough syrup
My world is now stained with this blood red goo

I need to buy more cough syrup
