Summary:
This is the 2nd poem of my inspired by series. For some reason it wouldn't let me add the first poem to the series. Hopefully this one works ok.
This entry is part 2 of 12 in the series Inspired By

hey, you over there
have you heard?
there is fear
and you should fear
for those that are different
want what you have
give me some
give me more
and I’ll promise you everything
spill all your secrets
show me all your hatred
I see your frustrations
put faith in me
and in return
I’ll say I’ll take it away
how’s your family?
your wife? your kids?
do you love them?
are you willing to die/kill for them?
bully your neighbor
hold up your guns
shoot in the name of Jesus
all for the low price
of your humanity
I am the only one
who can offer you peace
you’ll always know just what to do
because it will be what I tell you
my word is truth

    1. Awesome poem Nick. Really cool image. I loved Ghost when they 1st arrived on the scene back in 2010. By 2015 I jumped ship. They were getting way to commercial. Debut is like a cross between Mercyful Fate and Blue Oyster Cult. Classic!

      • Everyone’s a critic haha. They are hit and miss for me. But I did really like Impera and songs like ‘Mary On A Cross’ and ‘The Future Is A Foreign Land’. I’m drawn to things that are different even if it’s not perfection. I also don’t mind commercial as long as it seems like a natural evolution. I do wish the lead singer had better rang though.

Thanks for the read. Much appreciated.
