A Woman Scorned

HomePoetryA Woman Scorned
Summary:
Hell hath no fury…..like a woman scorned.

Her feet scorches
the Earth,
with every blistering step.

Resentment within herself
for all those long nights she wept.

Hating herself for losing control of things;
In her mind on a loop— “They will pay.
All they do is,
Lie,
steal,
fuck,
and scheme.”

But now…now,
she is a walking revelation.

Her heart, filled with
anger causing her
eternal damnation.

She is the self portrait of rage,
being let out of it’s cage
spreading in it’s haste, like wildfire.

You’ve heard it all before—
and yet you blatantly add fuel to the fire,
ignorant to what’s in store.

HELL HATH NO FURY!

She is the judge, executioner,
and the jury.

On your knees.
Beg for mercy.
Ask forgiveness.
Sing your pleas.

She is the path to destruction,
a woman scorned,
equal parts beautiful, equal parts terrifying.

Surely she’ll bring you to your demise.
Flames and desire
dance in her eyes,

Her mission is evident.

At least it was, until he came along…
An Angel,
and he’s heaven sent.

Destroying her plans
to give the world
a taste of her misery.

He restored the light
in her, taking her
in captivity.

Captivity of love, of hope
and of dreams…

He has saved her from herself
before she could take it to extremes.

All she needed was a taste of love,
like a cure, he was the vaccine.

    1. Powerfully penned, PG. Excellent write my friend. I always dig the layers in your work, fantastic storytelling, tied together with the conclusion of being in a better state of being by the end. Nicely done per usual, I’m a fan. Appreciate you.
