I get told all the time “it’s too early” for me. I refuse to live on somebody else’s clock. Thats the beautiful thing about poetry…it isn’t on a timer. As always, your words resonate, my friend

  Lately, I remember someone that I hadn’t thought of in decades. Or, I see a face in another face and can’t put a name to who they looked like. I’m terrible with faces. I had my mother’s sewing machine after she died. My sister wanted it and told me she was sending her husband to pick it up. I knew Bill. I was at their wedding. He was at family getogethers (mostly funerals but a couple holiday). My doorbell rang and I opened it up. I looked in his eyes and asked, “Can I help you?” Of course his response was, “I’m Bill?” I don’t know where my head was at that day. Good write. I have to try some shorter ones. Mine just runaway on me.

  What Nick said is pretty spot on. We write because to do otherwise destroys us to some degree. We give it the middle finger because that’s all we can do. Point out the hypocrisy, the hatred, the corruption & the willful blindness in the only means open to us. Somebody asked me recently “Yeah, but aren’t you just preaching to the choir?” I’m always mindful of the fact that words are a wave…once released, who knows where they’ll stop? So yeah, keep bringing it, my friend

I am thinking when school starts back up of possibly arranging some musical ideas, using the GarageBand software. We’ll see how it goes. lol. I miss being in the studio, and using the producer side of my brain. I learned a lot working on “Heartstrings” it consumed 3 1/2 years of my life. I have no crystal ball, nor do I have any superpowers that I’m aware of, unless being a Pisces is a prophetic sign of sorts. lol. By all means keep track, maybe you’ll discover my secret, though I truly don’t know that I have one. But I’m always accepting help in figuring out why I do what I do. Appreciate you.
