I think that perhaps the question might be, do they have a conscious to listen to?? Often the conscious is suppressed by the ego of self, and thinking that self is the be all and end all of everything. Hell, it’s even written into the Constitution… ‘the pursuit of happiness’. We used to say “seize the day, seize the hour,” and after reading your poem Willow, I might add, “the time is now, seize the power”. The power of camaraderie and not allowing anything to stand in the way. I think Anise Nin would be happy with your poem, Willow. It is alive with the passion of sharing experiences of the now.
