This is a great write.
The reality is we all age. It’s not so bad.
But realizing that comes with wisdom and learning to embrace the life you’ve lived and where you are mentally.
I’m happy at 51. You couldn’t pay me to be in my thirties.
Hell no. Hahaha -
Powerfully penned, Fia. Excellent write that we can all relate to my friend. I’m happy where I am, don’t wanna go back in time. lol. Nicely done. Appreciate you, Cuz.

You have touched upon a very important topic with your beautiful and meaningful poem, dear Fià. Unfortunately, our Western society is obsessed with a cult of youth. In other cultures, by contrast, older people are more likely to be associated with wisdom and life experience. Fortunately, the ‘army’ of women who are not buying into this youth cult based on outward appearances is growing larger and larger. We only age in years, but we mature in terms of our life experience and our wisdom; our faces reflect the beauty of a life well-lived.
Here’s to us older women! -
My sister casually announces she’s fat from time to time and she’s smaller than me. Throws the brain when someone declares themselves to be in a deficit but they still have more than you. I find it funny that I’m actually more content with my aging than I was in my youth. Guess it’s what we take from the life we live. Good write, Fia

Heave Silence
words recede
when darkness settles
and sound is heard only at the edges
muffled though they be…
silent sobs and absolute grief
louder in my senses
than gunshots and shouts of jubilation
because we all know where hate takes us
but only some will see it
guess it’s only visible…

It sounds like moment of redemption. The darkness seems to have control it all.
It talks about gunshots, shouts of jubilation over hate, and staying “triggered.” It’s that “eye for an eye” energy where the fight never ends because everyone is “just warming up” to hurt each other back.
-
The only way to fight hate is with love and compassion. Standing together in the face of adversity and having each other’s back.

The title sums it up. We all know where hate takes us. We do and some try their best to stay away from it and others well…

Daddy taught me how to shoot because he said it was important to know how to protect myself if I ever needed to. He also said the first thing I needed to know was that if I’m not going to be able to use it, it will be used against me so I should probably never get one. I’ve stuck by that philosophy since that day. Thank you, Brenda 🧡

12th in Emptiness, Oblivion, and the Breeze That Knows Too Much
April 12th rises
like a hollow bowl.
A day carved out of absence,
light as a rib,
quiet as a room
after everyone has left
but the air still remembers
their names. This is the day of emptiness
not the cruel kind,
not the collapsing void,

Some people grow with an appreciation for their maker, and others drift through life. Good one, and a lovely photo. 🙂

I love how this whole piece is written. From beginning to being continued!
As people I feel we continue to evolve.
Even when we aren’t looking.
Awesome write! -
Dear B,
For me, the presence of one’s higher power guiding us when we’re willing to receive is pulsating throughout this write. I kept thinking throughout my life whenever I wanted to do something differently but was spiritually guided in a different direction…typically I was grateful it didn’t happen the way I wished. Your piece of growth and gratitude is ever present in this write and your accompanying picture is beautiful. H xx 🌷
