    The Rain Poems

Two toddlers wore rain In the yard, in the fogof a heavy downpour, two toddlers wore the rainlike tight-fitted jeans, which clung to them so soggy, and yet in moments of gleewith a spin and a spree they giggled and laughed,a thousand thuds, as each...

    • hello dearest Tim I wonder besides rain what these poems have in them that weave them together there is something ominous I can sense… great write 💕

    • Ahhh! 🌧

What could be better, My Good Friend Tim, than a captivating soliloquy of imaginative Free Verse poetry from the rainbow of your dancing pen, creatively presenting the wonders of “Rain” to fill and soothe our parched imaginations.

Nice rhymes ‘n imagery in Poem 1, and your artwork choice sets the perfect mood.
I enjoyed each offering … particularly:

“For an hour, the sky recites
      poems from heaven
      and I listen…mesmerized.”

Outside my window, rain’s forecast today … I’m keeping my best umbrella and shiny red boots handy!
Good stuff, Syr Poet … much enjoyed, as usual! ⁓ Rascal🖌

      150/100

      • Haha, shiny red boots? Thank you Richard, your comments are always entertaining and interesting. It’s always good to know there’s a master of poetry around. 🙂

    • Quite a collection, Sir Tim.
Especially the woman in the window piece. Yet, the beginning obviously draws the reader in, with the vivid imagery. Well stocked stack of art, this.
And good to see you here.

    • Phenomenal write, Detritus. Amazing work my friend. Appreciate you.

    • very beautifully crafted 💕

    • Gratitude sounds in the words of eyes that see liminally on the day of the first harvest festival on the wheel of the year.

    • Sounds like you’re out at a lake at night. Nice

    • Thank you all for your kind words and support! I feel blessed to be part of this site.

      Clay

    • Thank you both for reading and your comments! That morning truly was inspiring.

    • The atmosphere of this awesome poem is magical! Are you from Ireland, Detritus?

    • Thank you for the read and the comment, Sappho! I am from east coast usa, though, I do have some irish ancestry along with welsh and Italian.

    • There appears to be magic between each of your words: highlighting gently, holding safely, yet – finishing with a subtle flourish. Perhaps your ancestry dictates your broad imagination, sir.

    • People seem to think of ancestry as being branded on mind and spirit. But we are all individuals touched by where we go, who we meet, how life loves or brands us. Don’t we use what is at the core and then instinctively react?
Perhaps one has to slip into the distant future to find out?!

    • Truth 🙏🌼

    • Thank you 😊

    • Brilliantly penned, Willow. Into the book it belongs! So much truth in this write my friend. There are multiple sources to learn from, and everybody has something new they can learn. Kindred spirts, I connect with this. Appreciate you.

      Damian

      • This one goes back to 2016. Had to dust her off & bring her into daylight again. The problem with learning from only one source is the bias that becomes inherent in it. Probably why this world is in such bad shape now. Everyone believes their way is the only way. And the users take full advantage of that. Thank you, my friend

    • hello beautiful Willow I think in a large part you have a loving and tender heart and some people don’t we encounter them and sometimes deeply resent these people but I am like you thinking there is a lesson in even that…it’s just not always easy to see… you are emotionally gorgeous and people who don’t get are too young to great write 💕

      • I don’t think we truly grown without all those lessons. Some of the lessons suck stinky eggs, but we still learn. Thank you, beautiful 🧡

    • I think, in one way or another, that most have some important qualities. Well done. .

      • Having a mind open enough to recognize it is where many fail at seeing those facets. Thank you 😊

    • Powerful work. Tremendous

    • I hate the thought of just how selfish and unempathetic people have become. We should all stay humble and never look down on others.

      Great ink

      • I think it’s human nature to fall in with the masses. Just some of us can’t unsee…& seeing makes it all that much harder to swallow the kool-aid. Thank you 😊

    • Girl, you don’t even know how much strength I’ve gained just in knowing you. Thank you, my fellow warrior!

    • Bravo, hun, bravo!!!

      Luvin this!!!

      • I burned my filters, remember? The flame is still lit…I’m just warming up
