I don’t know how the human mind and spirit will survive and deal with all these negative rushes all around and everywhere… The problem that even when You are conscious and doing what You should do, the environment around You is saying another thing, and we both know how the surrounding affects us and now we need extra extra work! Christina is the girl who witnesses Erik’s accursed face during that famous scene where she removes his mask. The silent version of this film is the only version I enjoy since it’s silent. I don’t like musicals. That’s why this 1925 version works for me. Plus, it’s the original.

When other kids where obsessed with Star Wars or whatever, I was a total nerd for the Dead films. I didn’t wanna be Han Solo, I wanted to be Ken Foree’s character in Dawn. Started smoking cigars way too early because a that damn movie….bad influence! And I loved it!! Something about the zombie that strikes an internal, inherently human chord in ways that most other horror caricatures cannot. Almost an “uncanny valley” vibe that rivals vampires. Good stuff, bud.

European cinema when this was made followed no rules. The American audience of today would cringe and have a seizure watching horror from Europe during the 70’s & 80’s. Watch the film. It will answer all of your questions. Happy Halloween
