    Animal Charm

    • “Because some are more loyal than others. ” I think more are easier to break and make them follow than being loyal. I read animal farm. I like the use of the idea here

      • Thank you Fia. Yes the loyal part also works. I just re-read sometime ago and I was watching a drum corps program that dealt with the same issue about being equal, so that theme stuck with me.
Always appreciate your comments and hope you have a wonderful new year.

    • Powerfully penned, Wally. Excellent write my friend. Sabbath and Floyd I dig that. Appreciate you.

      • Thank you Damian.
Yes, the pig theme from the music and the book (along with the image) just felt like they all tied together in a way.
Hope you have a great new year sir.

    • Excellent. I think I know of this pig and his followers. There may be other interpretations, but I gravitate toward the one that has this swine in the highest of high positions. I shall try to eat more fish.

      • Greetings Sam, yes you are exactly correct, let alone the latest comment made toward a woman by calling her just that. I think the majority of us feel this frustration (and anger), anxiety just to name a few.
Hope you have a great new year.

    Song of The Tong

I spoke long to the gathering, not for echoes to return, but because my tongue hummed, the old song of the tong. As a shadow curled in the corner, the bones of the house yawned, between floorboards to exhale, they simply...

    Whose marrow now...

Whose marrow now, the bone-white birch, still remembers the weight of wings that were never meant to keep ghosts, only borrow them like library books, overdue. Come dawn, the river spits out all our drowned names, in perfect alphabetical order,...

    "Oh dash it all!"

"Oh dash it all!" cried he, in tones most desolate. "Pray tell me, chaps—have you observed, my toddy’s wayward fate?""...before the friar's gateit vanished, quite without a trace, like empire’s fading gleam, one sip too short of paradise—""But now it’s...
