And so it was, when the big pig had seized power
He asked his followers to swear allegiance to him
And the baldheaded big wigs – within the same hour
Knelt and kissed his ring, without thinking, in a whim
Though many animals had not fallen to his charm
His close associates were heading into a lunatic fringe
While others resisted and shouted around the farm
The big pig was already planning his cruel revenge
“Step up and kiss the hand of the Swinefather”
The wolves who guarded him would tell the masses
While animals suffered, the elite wouldn’t bother
His loyal disciples had begun their dark masses
And just like that, several fell under a magical spell
While separating many offspring from their mothers
Under his snout the big pig would smile and yell
Touting “Because some…are more equal than others”

“Because some are more loyal than others. ” I think more are easier to break and make them follow than being loyal. I read animal farm. I like the use of the idea here
Thank you Fia. Yes the loyal part also works. I just re-read sometime ago and I was watching a drum corps program that dealt with the same issue about being equal, so that theme stuck with me.
Always appreciate your comments and hope you have a wonderful new year.
Powerfully penned, Wally. Excellent write my friend. Sabbath and Floyd I dig that. Appreciate you.

Thank you Damian.
Yes, the pig theme from the music and the book (along with the image) just felt like they all tied together in a way.
Hope you have a great new year sir.
Excellent. I think I know of this pig and his followers. There may be other interpretations, but I gravitate toward the one that has this swine in the highest of high positions. I shall try to eat more fish.
Greetings Sam, yes you are exactly correct, let alone the latest comment made toward a woman by calling her just that. I think the majority of us feel this frustration (and anger), anxiety just to name a few.
Hope you have a great new year.
