Hell yeah! 💥
Really, it’s gotta be the most lame-ass insult I’ve ever heard. If someone is calling people “woke”, does that mean they’re admitting that they’re asleep..? And… proud of it..? 😆 Geez.Love this write!

I am reading and I will do my best to get eyes on the creatives. Being a creative person is never easy, but it is a necessity in my eyes.

Well I was hooked from the first line, where does poetry go when it dies? I guess into oblivion to exist but be unseen and unheard. It’s crazy how we have so devalued and under appreciated art in any of its true forms when the world we live in now screams all the things that should make it thrive.

I will never surrender my ink! We’re not dying. We’re simply finding pockets of safety in a world gone mad. If I could put this on my reading list, I would…twice. Damn…

Crying is a way for the body to release hormones that calm us down during stressful times.
Next time you cry, pause for a moment and reflect on why you’re crying.I doubt there will be a logical, solid, single reason.
Great write Fia 💋 -
Oh stop being so tough. LOL.
Everyone needs a good cry some time. Its how we flush our eyes out!
Hell, I even secretly cry a sad tic toc videos, in private! LOL.
I’m a softy at heart!Great words, Fia. Now let it out! Cry!

I think I envy those who cry. I can’t seem to, and believe it’s not a healthy thing that I can’t. Most likely it was the trauma I suffered as a child that had me crying buckets until there just weren’t any more tears in me. I agree with your attitude about crying now, and believe your mother’s advice to be very wise. This is strong writing that has me thinking much about the subject.

It’s so much more of a powerful expression this way, in my opinion. It means that if you cry it actually means something. Such a beautiful expression of that.

I don’t cry many times. My poetry is my emotional release. But the last time I cried is when I lost my dog. When me and my wife got his nose print I just lost it. Don’t remember the last time I cried before then.
Great ink.

I am very judgmental and can live with that. But! To attack an individual’s character on the public media is a ‘no-no’. You have a very difficult job and I admire you for that.

Thanks for saying what everyone should already know. There are plenty of other forums and topics elsewhere to do that crap. Not in a place of sensitivity and creative endeavors! We bear our souls here at times. Damper someone’s writing and it’s like a dagger to the heart! I even feel it when I post and see no comments – but bad comments crush some of us. I go through too much at times in my “offline” life. Sometimes, this is my reality! Thank you and everyone else for making this place safe.

You should publicly name any culprits who are doing harrassment etc.
Everyone should know so that they can avoid dealing with a problem person.
So call them out on it. Perhaps they would close their account and open a new one/New name, but at least make them feel the hassle.
I never understood why people would be jerks towards others, in a writing site.
I do not care for everything I read in any site, but its easy enough to just move on without bothering them. -
It’s nice to have a safe place to express yourself. It is sad that you have to tell people to act right. It should be known.
-
I wasn’t aware this was happening. It’s something that seems to happen on all the sites I’ve been on. Thanks for being vigilant on the matter. It’s what makes a site a good one.

This reminds me of “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Miserable. We start out full of hope & sparkle & the world dulls our shine until there’s nothing left. Just bills to pay & the hope we go out on a good note rather than the usual shit. Totally feeling this one

The world gets too big I suppose. It’s never enough to stay in your own happiness. The world is designed to take and take. But also the older we get we are hit with reality. Losing people, losing friendships and so on. I think the thing that hurts the most is knowing when those moments are gone they are gone. There will be no other moments like them
Thanks for the read, friend. Very much appreciate it.

This is the second time I have read this, and I want to think about it. Depression is a strange beast. Not suicidal but not feeling the same. will drop dead doing something you hate. That struck a cord. I used to like the job I do, but too many worms came out of the apple, and now I work. This is my passion. To write and see others do what they love to do.
Now I’m rambling-
For me the poem is rather my darkest depression. The world beats you down and some days I feel like I’m just going through the motions. As the poem says I’m not suicidal, but there is comfort in the idea that I choose the way rather than it being something, or somewhere I rather not be.
Thanks for the read, friend.

To see the world and its inhabitants as they truly are and be able to accept them is being “woke” then I am too. Nice stream of consciousness.
