    • Damn you just did a mini backroom confessional. What would they not do to rise, and there is always someone there to take it.

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Fia. So glad you connected with the write my friend. It just kinda spilled out, it had been an idea for months. I just let it stew awhile. Appreciate you.

    • Monsters believe they hold all the cards. The funny thing it’s the people that give them power.

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Nick. So glad you connected with the write my friend. Spot on, it is the people that give them power. Appreciate you.

    • Powerful and poignant.

    • Holy crap, what did you just do?! This is phenomenal!

      “Savagely sedated saturation”

That is incredible alliteration right there! This whole thing just rocks the reader along…& that isn’t even saying anything about the message. Which is its own bag of holy crap! Clearly your late night musing hit a stride & you just ran with it, my friend!

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the write my friend. Yeah, I’ve learned to get out of the way when the muse is driving. lol. I just follow. I loved that line as well. I was just trying to recreate a harder hitting answer to: “Casting Couch Confessional.” The whole three C’s, Then became S’s. Sometimes my lyrical instincts take over. Appreciate you.

    • Powerfully penned, Jackie. Into the book it belongs! Spitting bars my friend. We’re slaves to the machine all right, the 1% will keep taking, they’re soulless bastards. Dig this spill. Appreciate you.

    • We are living in dangerous times… I hope people realize where we are going …

    • “Big, Beautiful Bill” or “Build Back Better”….I don’t see the letter B, all I see are the 6’s. This has been coming for some time. Decades, maybe longer. We’re getting whatever is about to happen, no matter our affiliations. I always dig a solid dystopian write. We are corporate assets. And very fucking tired. Who knows what the future holds? Let’s see where it goes from here.

    • This is summer sweetness. I like how they left and met again. Lovely
      The picture is so cute.

      • Hi Fia, long time no say sweet lady❤️
It was incredible. It felt so surreal and this happened this morning at 4:30 AM. I woke up and I felt like it really happened. The Kisses were passionate. He was beautiful, kind, caring and even though I don’t know him, I could tell he was the kind of man that everyone loves.
        Thanks for looking, miss you❤️

    • this is just a dream?.. mmm

      • Hi Sam, nice to see you here 🙂
Yeah, it is just a dream, but wow it felt so real. I mean it really felt real and when he told me he loved me. I already knew that.
I believe this was a parallel dream. I believe I do know him in that realm and he knows me. I don’t know his name, he doesn’t know mine, but maybe the next time we meet in my dreams we will know. Or maybe names don’t matter.
Thanks for looking Sam and leaving your comment.

    • What you so pleasantly say in this poem happens to me once in awhile, (not too often sadly).
      I love it and this.

      • I mean it was one of those dreams where you’re half awake but you’re still dreaming and you just continue to finish the dream but I woke up abruptly and I wanted to go back to sleep to finish the dream but I’m taking a new medication and I had a bad reaction. And so, in the moment I wrote about. what I experienced in the dream. Hey for all I know it could be a parallel universe experience and I do know him person, and knows me, and we have met before . Thanks for looking. I appreciate you. Thanks for the comment Jim.
        Jackie 🙂

    • Sweet write and dream! From reading your replies I get that its a real dream. Have you looked up its interpretation?
Most of my dreams are incomprehensible and weird but I like making poems out of them. “)

      • My dreams are vivid and a lot of the time they make no sense. But not this time. It was awesome!
        Thanks for the visit M.E

    • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Mary. So glad you connected with the lyrics my friend. You wouldn’t be the first that felt that way, my own mother wanted to slap him upside the head a couple of times. lol. Appreciate you.

    • Reminds me of a poem I wrote around the whole invasion of iraq. The poem is lost to me, but I remember some of the lines were.

“you can go ahead and die for your country
I value my life over everything
      and if I’m gonna die
it’s not gonna be me wasted away
for a bunch of fucking creeps”

This poem has fire and I love that.

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Nick. So glad you connected with the write my friend. Nice. What you remember of it. I had a lot more fire during this era of my life, I still have fire but I use it differently. At least that’s how it feels anyhow. Appreciate you.

    • I’m gonna say I would love to throw a shoe at Joey G. If Adira doesn’t get him with her boot first. Ironically, I know a lot of musicians. All young & vibrant…& all in Nebraska. It would be amazing to see your words given the credit & voice they deserve. My partner wanted me to do songwriting for musicians but I shut it down because I “only write poetry.” 🤦‍♀️ I would write with you any day though. And I’m keeping my fingers crossed that your words are properly heard, my friend

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the lyrics my friends. Joey G, has that effect on people. I’ll keep your offer in mind my friend, I’m thinking about trying to use GarageBand to arrange the music, and I’m gonna sing the songs myself. But down the road anything’s possible. I’m curious to see what I can come up with now, that I’m sober. Always open to collaborating. Appreciate you.

    • Awww that is so sweet. Nice memory.

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Fia. So glad you enjoyed the write my friend. I don’t always give a lot of tender moments in my writes. lol. Tell you the truth, they’re the biggest reason I quit drinking. Appreciate you.

    • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Mary. So glad you enjoyed the write my friend. I don’t show my tender side often, this one was letting my guard down, big time. It was a special memory, in fact they’re the biggest reason I quit drinking. That and I didn’t want to damage them mentally by not understanding why daddy drinks so much. I didn’t want to scar them. I brought tears to my own eyes now. Best choice I ever made. Appreciate you.

    • Born in Minnesota so snow has a special place in my heart. Although I prefer to watch it through a window. When the kids get excited about it, it’s like magic is happening. My daughter is a huge winter fan. She talks about how she would beg to go out in snowfall & I would bundle her up to keep her warm. Made sense to me. She saw it differently…”Mom, I was bundled so snug I practically needed to be folded to get on my sled. I was a starfish!” This one brought back memories…& laughter, my friend

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the write my friend. I liked snow until I grew up, and had shit to do. It’s a love/hate deal. In your defense, it never hurts to be prepared in the elements. lol. Thanks for sharing a snow memory my friend. Appreciate you.
