On point, Tim. I love the reflective nature of this. It has powerful meaning on its own, as a read for us too.
My father died slow, and quite aware of it all, til the end. I was his friend more than his son. But it was crushing just as much.

Tim, I felt this in the marrow of my bones deep in a place I haven’t visited in so long. Truly a deeply felt poem with a melancholy beauty that was perfect for this night’s reading.

Yikes! This past year I had a severe sprained ankle. It felt like it was on fire! It swelled up like an elephant foot.
Went to the ER and did X-rays. Nothing broken thank god!
I can’t imagine how much pain that was when it is actually broken bones.
I’m sure you noticed by now I’m a huge baby when it comes to pain.I can totally relate to the pain speaking in tongues!
