    The Small Wars

I wake to the ache in my bones, the muscle spasms in my back,a quiet coup under my flesh. The mirrors say sixty,my hands say forty,my mind thinks it’s still seventeen, wants to skinny dip with my girlfriend, run down a fairway, cruise to...

    Shower Hymn

I am a creature of steam of blurred mirrorsand water-beaded glass a solitary songbirdnesting in white cloudsthat bloom from tile and skin water keeps timeagainst my shoulders soft applauseof falling silver and I alone with my voice with the bright acheof being alive inside a body most...

    • Chère G.,
      Hope this finds you well?!

I’ve tried giving two thumbs to express my gratitude.
But no, Fia is very strict.

I love this write to bits.
Almost French by nature. In France you can get away with most anything, as long as you mind your language.
      A steaming write.
And the end is the cherry on the cake of course.
For yourself or someone else, it’s the singing that matters!

      Keep them coming, please…
      Warm regards, Gus

Maybe a Reboot is in Order...

I don't know if I believe or not whether we return for another round once our lives have ended and we've been put in the ground reduced to so much ashes or dust scattered to the winds... or sitting on a mantle   what I do know... is...

    • that reboot would be ideal. To just be able to start over better than how it is now

      • My concern is that humanity would just fuck it up all over again. I think humanity needs the boot…up the backside. Thank you, Fia

    • hello beautiful Willow this has been on my mind of late I think we do come back with another chance at building on the wisdom we gained this round… very great write ❤️

      • I’m afraid there are a lot who haven’t learned yet. I begin to worry they may never get it. Thank you, Brenda 🧡

    • Brilliantly penned, Willow. This is a powerful write with lots of layers my friend. I’ve always thought that if one could come back they most likely wouldn’t remember their past life, so you might be getting a second chance but without any foresight of former lived experiences. Just a theory of mine. lol. I’m probably overthinking this aren’t I? Amazing read as always. Appreciate you.

      • My mind went sideways down a random path with this one, I think. I have to keep hope in place or this world will break me. It gives me hope to think that maybe the conscience becomes more pronounced on things we need to learn each time we return. I also hope (profoundly) that those resistant to the lesson come back as grubs. 😂 Thank you, my friend

    • Willful cruelty without reason seems to be a human trait. I’ll never understand why people prey on each other. Then again, as long as I don’t understand, it isn’t likely to be a temptation to fall into that behavior. Thank you, Peter

    • Thank you, Thomas
