    • Small town and big city is no difference because those in the small town crave to be in the city and those in the big city want to be in the small town. Yet they bring with them the same thing. No change just the recycling.

    • Small towns and big cities all have in common…both those with small minds and those with open minds. I think this would be a fantastic song, my friend

    Candlelight

    My Love

      Well done, Fia. Bravo!

    • Your love,
the kind to be sure of.
      Your heart,
      best kind from the start.

      Little things,
      tender happiness brings.
      Warm touch,
      can never have too much.

      Soft kiss,
      leads to such wonderful bliss.
      Happy eyes,
      most loveliest of love’s prize.

      Gosh, Fia! 💕
‘Twould seem your warming words have inspired my rugged olde pen to dance with love’s efulgent joy!

No one speaks of love more sweetly than You, dear poetess.
And, how lucky we are to share it … thank you, Fia! ⁓ Richard🖌

    Dual Unity

Two trees grow closely, side by side Through storms of strife and turning tide Drenched by rains of grief and gall Sun-warmed by bliss that touches all In love and strength, they stand so tall Two trees, yet forest all in all   Two birds within...

      Painting with Words!
And I love the artwork too.
      Prompt writing?
Anyway, I forget the reasoning so I can immerse myself in this warm bath.

    • Wonderful. You never let us down, as readers. This one is a great example of your fluid rhymes, with a powerful message carried consistently throughout it. Awesome, Elke.

      • Thank you so much for your kindness and your appreciative comment dear Styx! You made me smile delightfully! ☺️

    • Talking to trees, and listening to their replies, to their wisdom, is one way to understanding how all life is connected, intertwined, in a fundamental way. It is how we become more humane and how we find love. I think your poem is a testament to this, Elke.

      • Yes indeed, all of life is deeply interconnected. All living beings are deeply dependent on one another. Whatever happens to one species has affects on the whole planet. E.g trees have a well functioning communications system. They warn each other of danger; if it serves the well-being of the entire forest, they even help their competitors.
thank you very much for your meaningful comment dear Curt! 🌲😊
