i love that look in your eyes
when you start to realize
after all those times
when you were undermining
must of felt kind of twisted
but i wasn’t concerned at all
because i have performed in this play
i have played these games
my success starts and ends with me
and if you feel that i act like i’m better
it’s because i am

so save it bitch
i grew from grit
been through shit
best to save that judgment
momma always said
get the fuck out of my house
and make something of yourself

i’m pretty familiar with failure
sold my soul for less than it’s worth
and that’s when i learned
no one can stop me now
i’m a goddamn rocket ship
rising up to the stars
it’s so funny to me
when you try to tell me my faults
saying i’m too pretentious
there’s no buying bullshit
when you swing the sword of truth

so save it bitch
i grew from grit
been through shit
best to save that judgment
momma always said
get the fuck out of my house
and make something of yourself

i have memories of beautiful faces
transforming into evil grins
had friends i would die for
try to kill me
buried people i lived for
so i had to switch up my purpose

i been small town living
and big city dreaming
that’s how i know
there’s no difference
same loud mouth bullies
same drunk ass losers
same lost souls searching for a higher power
and sometimes i think
some people won’t be happy
unless everyone else is miserable

    1. Small town and big city is no difference because those in the small town crave to be in the city and those in the big city want to be in the small town. Yet they bring with them the same thing. No change just the recycling.

    2. Small towns and big cities all have in common…both those with small minds and those with open minds. I think this would be a fantastic song, my friend
