Two trees grow closely, side by side
Through storms of strife and turning tide
Drenched by rains of grief and gall
Sun-warmed by bliss that touches all
In love and strength, they stand so tall
Two trees, yet forest all in all
Two birds within the branches high
Weave an artful nest nearby
The builders sing in harmony
A bright, euphoric symphony
With hope for new life to begin
The crown of passion held within
In shadows where the woods are deep
Soft cushions call for trysts to keep
The Sacred Wedding, soul and skin
Where holy unions can begin
A bond for all eternity
Two souls in dual unity

Wonderful. You never let us down, as readers. This one is a great example of your fluid rhymes, with a powerful message carried consistently throughout it. Awesome, Elke.
Talking to trees, and listening to their replies, to their wisdom, is one way to understanding how all life is connected, intertwined, in a fundamental way. It is how we become more humane and how we find love. I think your poem is a testament to this, Elke.
