This is a lovely story. Love this line
“a reminder that even in dreams, our love carries the weight of our fragility” -
Dreams always have some kind of meaning behind them. Trying to figure that meaning out is the hard part. Perhaps the lost dress was a representation of words that were never spoken. Or desires never totally met. The ending is warm and affectionate. As a poet or writer, dreams can be of value, which in this case, was beneficial for a good story with a happy ending. 🙂

Tim I love your insights here. Indeed you illuminate he hidden nature of meaning in dreams. Indeed, I do think the lost dress held a meaning. As did the atm machine. I could imagine the atm machine meaning that the love we had was never really about money but that she was looking for something more than what money can buy from me. Thank you so much for sharing your insightful thoughts here. They were greatly appreciated.

Hello John,
Your description here captures the atmosphere so perfectly. Your detail is always so razor sharp. Nice work.

Your poem puts me in the mood of sailing and travel, the image of a sailor who is watching and expressing the scenes, keeping it in his head because soon it will only be a memory. There is sadness going along all the lines. Emotionally written.

Thank you so much Light for your heartfelt reflections on my poem. Your impressions of my words here are deeply appreciated. Love your interpretation of the mood within my words. Indeed there is a depth of understanding in your thoughts and the feelings my poem inspired for you that really feels right. Deep gratitude.

So Lugh watched her bathing, and Bridgette thought it was ok to gaze upon her. That is nice. Then, when they took the boat ride and died together, (aww) At the end, they decided where to be reincarnated, wrapped it up nicely, and the fact that they said the Emerald Isles, I smiled at that.
