      • Dude!! I just finished my book. Every poem has an accompanied piece of art! It’s titled Poetry Stained Teeth!
It’s on Amazon!! But to get a printed copy you need to go to Book Baby. It’s who I went through to self publish!!
This is one page of my book! It’s what I’ve been working on all year. Phew. I’m starting my second one!

Thanks for checking this out !!

    • This is a beautiful take on playing the piano.

      • Thanks Fia!

Especially for helping me with posting!
This is another older one from back in DUP days and kind of flirting with Mark. hahaha
It was before we decided to meet. He would always comment and kind of tip toe flirt!
Where I on the other hand was a bit more aggressive. Lol

        Thanks for the awesome comment!!

    • Beautifully penned, Adel. Into the book it belongs! You know how much I love poems that highlight music, excellent write my friend. The art compliments the write nicely. Great to see you posting again. Appreciate you.

    • Hello Crims!
I like the old-timey vibe of this. I wish there was more along this type actually. It just seems to set a nice tone when reading. Like those before us perhaps. At any rate, this is a wonderful poem that you’ve presented for us.

      • hello dearest Styxian good evening I’m happy the language of this write spoke to you it was how it presented itself the poem I mean thank you so much for letting me know ❤️

    • Hey crimson!

The last line is a dark but beautiful visual. It gives me a Celtic vibe.
It starts off with wonderful bits of love then changes tone.
I love the word pairing of sweeping crimson. It’s like a red wave of devotion.

      Love your stuff chica:)

    • hello lovely poetess thank you graciously ❤️

    • Beautifully penned, Brenda. Amazing write my friend. Appreciate you.

    Spiders

Clans of venomous spiders nurtured her from conception their black spiny spindle of legs wove her skin of immortal silk decades ago Spinnerets sparkle like poisonous ornaments from the wall of nightshade that blooms in her bedroom She’s innocence embodied in a toxic withered frame lean in a smidge closer her web of white gold sparkles like sugared...

    • And there was me lamenting where have all the DU gone? And in the space of a weekend, your good self, Mark and Gary appear and life seems a little bit normal again. I stay away from spiders these days. I can’t tell you how much I wish the best for you and Styx. Welsh Rob

      • Hi Rob!! How are you doing amigo?
I’ve been working and taking digital art classes. I finally finished my book! I’m so excited. I’m waiting for my printed copies to arrive in the mail. It is titled Poetry Stained Teeth! It’s on Amazon and I’m looking to work on my marketing so lots going on. I’m so happy you stopped by and left me a comment. Your writing is golden so I appreciate you stopping by to say hello.
Now I need to encourage Mark to get his rolling!

        Later gator

    • Perfect timing. I was in a friends OLD basement and saw three spiders to the right of the door that opens to the backyard. Creepy things for sure – and kind of big.

And as for women, I’ve met one too many who were there to spin their web. To catch their prey. But through my cleverness and acts of evasion I eluded them. But oh, what I could have had. :))))))

      Nice one, Adel.

      • Hey there Tim!

I literally freeze when I see spiders. Especially the big one’s. But they do make badass webs!
This write is an oldie but goodie. Trying to do a lot of things at once. I finally finished my first book. It’s small but lots of color
and art. It’s on Amazon titled Poetry Stained Teeth. I’m waiting on my books to arrive in the mail. A year’s worth of work!!

I’m so proud of doing the cover and each page of art myself. I plan to do 3. I’m currently working on the first pages of my second book with the sub title The Golden Addition. Or maybe I’ll use the word addiction. 😂

The last book I want to do is a dark volume. Yikes!

I’m so happy to see commenting on my write amigo. It’s been a while:)

    • Are you talking about my evil twin? She escaped? This is so good, and the way you wrapped it up with ” You know you want her to, was perfect.

      • Hi Fia!
It’s been so long since I’ve posted anything. Thank you for dropping by with a comment. This is an oldie but goodie.
I already see how I want to do the art. lol. I want it to look like an antique Victorian picture.

She could be my twin sister too!

Thanks for using the word perfect! Made my day:)

    • It’s about time you posted something! I’m tired of everyone asking me where are you!
LOL. So pick up your own slack!
And here you are, finally! I sense the halloween theme that this seems to coincide with. And for the record, you’ve dressed a bit venomous before…I am so wrapped up.
Awesome visuals that you crafted within this clever write. Your artwork is equally impressive, but we must wait til ? For those.
So lovely to see you here my love!

      • Hi baby!
I can’t let you be the only one posting. I’m sorry I’ve been slacking! I need to get back into writing more but the art takes me forever. And yes, I will gyrate you mister. Hahahaha
September and October are great inspirations for writing. This is an older poem but I thought I’d
post something since my writing has stalled. lol. Love you sweetie. I’ll call you in a bit. MWA!!!

    • Lol, spiders aren’t really my thing, but I’m glad to see your writes again, anyways 🌼

    • Hey Joe!!
This is an older one. Thought I’d try and post something. It’s been a while.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment amigo:)

Spiders at not my thing either. I appreciate from really far away!! In case that little guy decides to jump.
Then I’ll squash him like a cucaracha!! lol

      Later gator!

    • Beautifully penned, Adel. Incredible imagery my friend and an excellent write. Appreciate you.

      Damian

      • Hey! Thanks a ton amigo. It’s fixing to be October so I wanted to bring the spiders
You know a couple of years ago I started a poem titled Puppet Master inspired by the song from Metallica.
I’ve heard it before but it came on in the movie Stranger Things and boom! All this inspiration came so I jotted a few things down. Then I lost my notes!!! I need to find and finish!!

        Thanks for stopping by!

    • Mother nature is probably in a foul mood for all men have done to her. Polluting her waters, razing her trees, and a lack of concern for her air are things she’s keeping a list of, I’m sure.

      Nice one.

    • Chère S.,
By now you may remember that I am a great fan of your work.
There are a hundred different ways to actually do something to minimise further damage. And there are a hundred ways to handle it in an artistic way. There have been moments where those tipped the balance.

And every little bit helps. Of that I am sure.
I agree, what’s been done was done. But no-return? We’ll have to wait and see.
      Love this write a lot.
Please go on writing these poems, dear neighbour!

      Kind regards, Gus
      Kind regards, Gus

      • Sadly, it’s too late to make things undone. But I trust that humankind will be smart enough to keep the damage as small as possible and to do their very best to protect this planet which provides optimal and in this universe unique conditions for living.
Thank you very much, dear Gus, for writing such a well thought of comment and for your appreciation!

    • Beautifully penned, Elke. With such a powerful message my friend. Excellent write! Appreciate you.

      Damian

    • This is a wonderful, poignant poem, Sappho. It’s tragic when you think about it. We humans are the only sentient, conscious life forms on our Mother, with the power to give or take life, both in the small sense and in the larger sense – extinction. Your poem is important because it tells the truth about our impending doom, unless, UNLESS we consciously stop creating the means for our own extinction. It’s ironic, life on the planet will most likely continue and even flourish when humans are gone. After all that meteor wiped out almost all life forms 65 million years ago, but in the absence of dinosaurs and other predators, mammals, our ancestors began to appear and thrive. The problem with the 6th Great Extinction is that there is no guarantee conscious life will emerge again. Extinction: a major event on Earth, a minor event in the Universe.

Thanks for sharing your insightful poem.
      -Curt

      • Thank you so much for your detailed and meaningful comment, Curt! You are absolutely right, it’s a shame that humans use their intelligence rather to destroy than to care and protect. Many of us haven’t really realised that nothing compares to planet Earth and its optimal preconditions for life.

    • I’ve always admired your writes. Whether prose or “built” like this one, your talent is obvious.
(And, I read your bio. Even more reason to salute you as a strong person with immense talent).
I picked up on the rhyme scheme in this one easily, because you made it so fluid. Well crafted, Sappho.
