Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Fia. So glad you enjoyed the story my friend. Yeah, at the end of the song while playing the New Mother Nature riff, While the singer Cummings did his part, Bachman as a backing vocal part started re-singing the first verse of, No Sugar Tonight. It’s a cool effect as if you heard the first song then the second one and then both merge. Appreciate you.

Great fucking act! This band and BTO deserve way more respect then they get. They were one of the biggest names in Canada. I’ll listen to them over Triumph or April Wine. Informative write.

Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Keith. So glad you enjoyed the story my friend. Yeah, who is Canada’s biggest rock band? I don’t know that anyone is bigger than, Rush. What do you think? Appreciate you.

And you finally hit on a band I’m not familiar with…although I know the song American Woman. I always find it fascinating when the people overrule the industry. Wouldn’t it be great if music wasn’t spoon fed by the industry telling us what to like? Many “unknown” tracks on big albums turned out to be my favorites. Awesome that they made it work! Another great story, my friend

Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you enjoyed the story my friend. They look at it as checks and balances, and their precious bottom line. The business side is the underbelly. The Bee Gee’s & Chic were playing R&B you could dance to. Disco blows up, and they make them poster boys for that movement. Because of business, they oversaturate the music market, and they keep pushing it till people don’t wanna hear it anymore. Or a Decade ends. It’s all about profit, unfortunately. Sorry for the rant. You like what they call the “Deep Cuts” the songs not meant to be singles. I’m the same way my friend. Appreciate you.

Dear D,
That was awesome. Each title mentioned in this write I would start singing the refrain in my head. I’m so glad you’re carrying on this series of writes about these musicians. They’re so interesting and your writing of them is captivating. H🌷

Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Tim. So glad you enjoy the stories my friend. That’s really cool, that you got to open for them. It was probably like the band, “Yes” Chris Squire was the only original member left in the group until his death. Now they tour with no original members. It’s like all the replacements took over the band. Appreciate you.

Damn, I can completely feel how it all seems like it can just slip right through your fingers…Time waits for no one and can be brutal with its incessantness, indeed
You created a universal understanding within your ink that most people can wholly identify with, especially once you’ve reached a certain age…
Wonderfully crafted – ty for sharing

Sigh…it takes us where it takes us. Regardless where you were going it took me to this…honor the memories, live in the moment. Ain’t nobody perfect. We’ve all got our demons. And they live where we can’t outrun them. There’s a lot in this one that speaks to different thoughts for me. Gonna be pondering this one for a while, my friend

Okay, I’m excited i could actually listen to the audio on this one! It’s a very relatable piece. I think we’ve all been in that headspace a time or two. The constant questioning…solid, my friend

Thanks so much for reading/listening and for your kind words, Willow. So glad you liked the piece. Actually, when I wrote it, I thought I was just putting down some lyrics per usual. Just some random thoughts, like my late night musings are. After putting it to music with Joey G back in 2000. I realized what it was really about. I had just broken up with my girlfriend at the time. My first real relationship is in certain lines, I could dissect it, but it would take a while. Maybe that could be a chapter in the story of my life, that is currently being written. Never know, stranger things have happened. You always make me ponder my friend, and that’s a good thing. Appreciate you.

hello dearest Damian I had no idea you felt this way sometimes you seem so confident
you did beautifully at expressing yourself it resonates deeply ❤️I have been in a disconnected state of late this made me cry so much suppression going on I feel it is much like your purgatory… great song-
Thanks so much for reading/listening and your kind words, Brenda. So glad you connected with the words and liked the song. I felt that way a lot, when I was drinking. I’ve been a different person the last two years because of sobriety. But these events in life made me who I am. I hope things get better my friend, all you can do is keep moving forward. Appreciate you.
