    • It feels that the plant is not being consulted when decisions about it are made.

Much like little children taken away from their big trees (parents) and transplanted which makes them
really scared, like maybe they won’t ever see family again.
Little plants among giant trees…and they feel so intimidated and lost.

    • I can see this being read at a podium. I feel the convictions in your words.

    • I hate what is happening with the Epstein case and the lack of respect for the victims…and all the covering up and protecting of those who committed such evil deeds.
There is no conscience, no conscience. Cold, rich people.

      • What’s happening with the Epstein case is literally showing us that we have no power to fight back…according to them. They silence or eliminate what threatens them. Which – honestly – showcases their fragility perfectly. I’m over here screaming my head off about my truth & healing despite them. They can’t stop me. Cowardly monsters. Thank you

    • Powerful and poignant. Fantastic.

    • The world is strange these days. I don’t understand some of these people, but honestly it’s a good thing. It means I haven’t sold my values.

I trust one day we will have our strength shown again.

      Great ink friend.

      • I agree. Not understanding them comforts me. I’ll keep my vulnerability & integrity intact & I’m just fine not understanding how their twisted minds work.

I read something the other day that gave me a moment of peace & hope. Loosely translated it said…light has the power to illuminate in darkness, but dark cannot look into light, it cannot bear it’s glow. I find that very calming. I’ll just keep my little fire burning & let them cower in their dark minds. Thank you, my friend

    • Powerfully penned, Willow. Into the book it belongs! Excellent work my friend, you always bring it. Appreciate you.

      • I have so much going on in my mind on any given day, I have to clear headspace. They don’t always go where I expect them to land. This one started in a dark moment. But I found myself rebelling internally as I wrote & the tone changed. Together is always stronger. Thank you, my friend

    • Sometimes the question we ask ourself is are we damaged or is the world damage. We love the piece Lady, tight

      • I don’t think any single person who encounters another human being isn’t walking wounded. We all walk around bleeding and causing each other further damage. I believe you might be on to something there. Maybe the world is damage. Disheartening that the biggest common denominator amongst us is pain…

    • This flow is nice, and meaning is not lost in the rhyme. I like it.

    • Thank you..it’s short and to the point for sure..hope you are doing well..good to hear from you

    • Another piece that leans me in the direction of what is happening with the protection of those involved
in the trafficking…Despicable people protected by their wealth.
They are diseased and need to be put out of their ecstasy…
      j.

    • It is quite disturbing how the wealthy can buy anything and then cover up their evil doings..sadly I feel the victims will never have the justice they deserve and everything that has happened to them is just a talking point during this moment in time and will be forgotton in the near future..its also sad how these poor victims are used as weapons from our leaders from both sides of the aisle and at the end of the day most political leaders don’t care about the actual victims just the story they can narrate by using them

    The Great Deceiver

Fueled by a consuming rage Pointed at every situation  As I fall into the final stage Right before the initiation Locked inside self-torment  Wiggling out of the noose Keeping all the spirits dormant Until madness is busting loose   Pressure building within me Anger clouding all that I see   Face...

    • This is really good. Damian <3

    • Oh yeah, this one definitely needs a place on the album! I hope it’s coming along well! The halls are a bit echo-ey without you wandering them as often, my friend

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the write my friend. It’s going, though it took a while to get my “Logic Pro” software. Which allows me to mix better and I can even master my music with it. But, I got a song mapped out structurally, I have lyrics for everything but the bridge. Which I just came up with that bridge tonight. Gotta record vocals, and backing vocals next. Hopefully, I’ll be letting you hear it soon. I miss you too, my friend. You’ve been penning some excellent work my friend. Thanks for your continued support, it means a lot to me. Appreciate you.

    • Powerful work. Superb.

    • Great work. I get an image of a man struggling with who to trust.

    • I get the sense of internal conflict, and the rhythm and urgency make it clear these are lyrics meant to be performed.

The energy builds perfectly toward the chorus: “Face to face with destiny…” I especially like the line “Loyal to the art of betrayal” – it’s a great, concise piece of wordplay.

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Roma. So glad you connected with the lyrics my friend. I love that line as well. Appreciate you.

    • More great lyrics, Damian. Very heavy stuff. I hope to hear the music someday.

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Tim. So glad you connected with the lyrics my friend. When I get some songs finished, I’ll let you check them out. Appreciate you.
