AAAWWWW!! And now I am blushing again. Light, what is “gorgeous”, is your comment.
And I must also apologize, I have not read enough of your words to get to know your poetic expressions and beliefs. Something I will correct. My only excuse is that I am new here at SR and just beginning to feel my way around and reading the poetry here. Poor excuse at that.
But I do agree and I am glad you see that we humans are capable of so much more than we are at present. We have the capacity of great love and understanding of everything around us, how we are both individuals and connected at the same time. We are small when compared to the world around us, and yet what and who we are can determine the fate of our existence. I think poetry should communicate this as well as be the center of how we shout against all oppression.
Anyway, a much larger conversation. Thank you so much for your kindness and your comment on this poem, Light

The Dead, strange folk, very strange. They have this vacant smile, glassy eyes and have these “tracks” they want to give me. They are everywhere. I think we should be afraid, very afraid cause now they are in the seats of power and want more. I went fishing the other day, and the fish I caught, 28 inch trout, tried to hand me a tract. Isn’t it funny how what dead people want to “eat” is your brain. They’re everywhere I tell ya, everywhere.
er…. sorry Thomas, I kinda got carried away thinking about your poem and Dead people. But I have to admit, I was looking over my shoulder as I read.A 5 snaps, and 2 hell yes, poem. Thanks Thomas!

I wonder what it is that makes them think they’re alive. I haven’t been fishing since I was 4, but I do love my tent time. Brilliant write

Neville, many snaps and hell yeses, plus a ‘bag of chips’, as an old friend used to say.
In a similar situation, my first wife had tears in her eyes when she handed me the papers to sign. Maybe it was thinking about failure, cause what she said was “we were supposed to be forever.” True enough, but we had both changed and couldn’t find what we once had. It was extremely disheartening, since it was her who had the affair and ended it.
Life is strange I think. Why is it that even as memories become “fragmented” and “distanced”, they never go away completely, they haunt, reminding me of my failure to love her better.

Thanks loads for stopping by these words of mine Curt .. it’s a funny old game isn’t it .. life I mean .. and what we can’t change or forget often makes for half decent poetry .. Kindest regards and best wishes for a bloomin brighter set of tomorrows .. Neville

This kind of put me in a sad mood, separation, memories… the human psychic. when we think we moved on, yet suddenly something comes up and everything comes to the surface. yes true, life is unpredictable, what we might think it’s love in a moment, later it might appears it’s not, what we were once, later we might not be. from togetherness to separation.

Well I don’t think any woman would know what to say after reading THIS, and it surprises me as I read your poetry how much alike we seem to express poetry, love and nature all together in oneness. This is beyond gorgeous… though it paint such a vivid imagery of flesh, but it goes deeper than this, speaking of a higher love as it flows through everything. Outstanding, magnificent and simply Breathtaking… Nirvana and “come as You are” perfect words for such poem… Thank You!
