    • A bit towards the apocalypse in its foretelling, yeah? I also get a “War Pigs” vibe as well (Black Sabbath).
Excellent rhyme scheme as well. Great write Damian.

    • Wow, one more of your excellent, intense and thought provoking right things, dear Damien! Especially the last verse speaks to me a lot. World most people consider God as all seeing eye that is watching and judging us, all sing that UI energy is just experiencing itself, manifested and the form of a human being. So it is entirely up to us what to do with our lives. Personally, I think it is best to listen to our heart and to our intuition. Why won’t lead us a stray.

      • Sorry for the typing Arrows, Damian!

        • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Elke. So glad you connected with the write my friend. No worries about the typing errors, it happens to all of us from time to time. It is best to search for the light in all things in my opinion. Appreciate you.

Written on an Airplane Waste bag

I’m a-ship sailing the sea In time I don’t know where I’ll be.   Where roads put me I don’t know Time my heart will let me show.   I see a storm coming my way Where will it strike one day?   The muse of the ocean...

    • Ohh there is so much in this piece. What got me it I wore the ancestors of these jeans…Damn what a line.

      • LOL, you like how I used Wrangler jeans there? I happened to have on a pair as I wrote those lines. How ironic huh.
Thanks Fia. I hope NY is treating you well!

    • Fine, it’s a tie. LOL.
We’re pretty good at mutual stuff…

    • Hello Damian.
Yeah, why not a praying mantis. I think they are cool as hell actually. Ever since I saw my first one as a kid, as it was eating a caterpillar like a piece of corn on the cob, I’ve been amazed by them. Little green demons, lol.
Thank you much, too, for the nod.

    • Dude, I have a lot of scars! And several tatts, ahem. -Been quite the life. Nowadays all is mostly mellow and I am thankful for it!
And you can jack my title. When I thought of it a couple of weeks ago, I told Del that I gotta use it somewhere! This write is the result.
      Thank you much, Peter.

    • Amazing writing, dear Styxian. So authentic and pure! Scars are a sign that life has been lived. And I think that prayers never remain unanswered. But often we realize not before many times has passed, in which way the answer has manifested in our lives.

    • The funny thing is, (well, not funny exactly!), is I have had so many misfortunes over the years. I used to look at it as bad luck. Yet then, perhaps the fact that I have got this far in pretty decent shape overall, it’s always been secretly good luck to make it through.
And hey, it’s good to see you around again! Good writers like you should be more frequent!

    • This is kinda where my mind has been lately. I recently took a lower paying, more physically demanding job just to access these very feelings. I just wanted feel what real living is like again. You’ll only get what you give, and many of us have to give a lot more just to get a little, but these are the conditions that shape the poet. Keep trying, and keep in mind that more people see you than you realize! Life is hard fkn work! But I know you know this, because you are a poet!!

    • Thankfully you, we all, have access to let it all out in writing. That is our strongest voice. God knows that creative writing really helped me become who I am. I still have a vocal glitch, that hits me whenever it wants, but it isn’t a handicap. I have learned to be confident regardless. Writing gives us a super power. You will win the battles Fia.
      Awesome write.

    • Powerfully penned, Fia. Another excellent write with many deep layers my friend. This one has a musing vibe while turbulence is stirring beneath the surface. I concur with Mark. Amazing read as always. Appreciate you, Cuz.

      Damian

    • Thank you for this encouraging writing, dear Fia!
Settling with what you have already achieved, means standing still. But trying again and again, getting up after falling and trying anew is a brave way of progress and self development. Only doing so you can reach out for the stars!
