    • There’s a quiet reverence in this—like you’re circling something sacred without naming it.
      That “there” feels like the pulse beneath memory and mind, the kind of presence that steadies a man when the noise falls away.

      • Thanks Damian. I’ve always liked writing pieces that have plot twists or bigger reveals at the end. I often think of those who are passing and what their last thoughts may be.

      • Thank you Fia. I was trying to have this piece read more as a Civil War piece but felt that it’s obscurity in time could be left open to interpretation and connection to the reader.
