  • Faith’s Musings (featuring the talented Willow)

Eyes on the horizon darkness will lighten

Using faith’s musings defenses will tighten

Wrestling with logic to avoid feelings

Using humor to shield a tender heart

Paper dwellings with painted ceilings

Time moves slowly when spent apart

Tipping scales in search of the truth

Guarding vaults with empty shelves

Revising a language learned in youth

Too afraid to study the book of self

Believing in hope just to get through

Poets gather with words that inspire

Open minds create a wonderful view

While spinning tales from the bonfire

Trapdoors hidden within over-thought

Keep the objective in a clear line of sight

Surrounded by shadows, follow the sparks

Artistic kindling used to increase the light

Kindred spirits often encourage others

Choosing to see stars in a distorted sky

Treating friends as sisters and brothers

Searching for love not accepting the lie

Honesty doesn’t always taste the best

Honor and integrity often come at a cost

Beauty of community will survive life’s tests

Compassion shared helps ease the loss

Instead of wondering where it all ends

Getting knee deep in the how and when

Stop chasing danger to make amends

Find a way to smile when patience is thin

Using faith’s musings defenses will tighten

Eyes on the horizon darkness will lighten

    1. A luminous, steady piece. Your poem moves with a calm, deliberate pulse, weaving faith, introspection, and communal warmth into a single braided current. Vaults, trapdoors, bonfires, distorted skies, give the emotional journey a textured architecture, and the closing return to the opening lines lands with the elegance of a well‑earned refrain. It’s reflective, generous, and beautifully built. Fantastic work both of you!

    3. What a great flow you two found. Rhythmic. It is a very good write, of course. Yet it’s the flawless transition that stands out.

    4. I can feel Willow’s tender touch along all lines, it’s like her touch softened the rigidity of your pen and You yield with her blending a harmouis wave together like a beam of light crossing l the darkness, dancing and spreading through it filling and merging with it. This is flawless and the reader won’t feel it as a corporation but a one pen and a one ink, the theme is great as a corporation, a song of both life and community. Wonderful job the two of You, a great write. Thank You Both🤍🤍
