A Common Death

Bookmark
HomePoetryA Common Death
Summary:
An everyday kind of poem

I die
the common death
of a common life

silent obscurity
insensitive dismissal
innocuous nothing

an empty orb
transparent, delicate, meaningless
clinging to leafless branches
to hollow limbs

anonymous bubble
awaiting
atmospheric intrusion

Briefly lived,
adrift
I bleed
Iridescent rainbow seed

I breed
soap skin children

    1. The way that I can relate; It’s almost as if, you’ve retrieved my exact thoughts from the endless depths of my mind. I love this. Absolutely beautiful, dampkitten. xx

      • Well, maybe every other day. By the way, Sam… speaking of obscurity – your site is absolutely exploding, and my congratulations to you for your amazing success! I must say, you have the Midas touch, and you know where I’d like for you to put golden finger of yours?
