Each verse I pen and then disperse out into the universe and the unknown
They carry a little part of me with heart and soul that’s beyond flesh and bone
But they return with an echo from the voices of others who are just the same
From different corners of cyberspace with emotions carrying a similar flame
Thus, we come together at a crossroad of space and time with the same affinity
Sharing a passion for words that span realms and worlds like some fine divinity
And this place becomes a haven for the creations we come to share with others
Forming bonds amidst strangers that feel as if we’re long-lost sisters and brothers
Then we find ourselves walking through the halls and rooms of this virtual residence
Asking for help to improve our craft and hone our skills in the search for excellence
And then one day, after visiting many times it becomes very comfortable and inviting
There’s a rack with your name where to hang your writing hat, it feels really exciting
The journey of poets in the digital age can be a road that many wander and roam
But if you’re here you can hear your works cheered, when your poems find a home

Damian
Thank you very much Damian. It’s our never ending search for the perfect words, which is an exciting journey.
Hope you’re doing well.
We are all here to share words; to offer through cyberspace an image, a scene, or an experience that can hopefully come alive in the readers mind.
If we have writings we are too shy to reveal to friends or relatives, there’s always a place waiting where we can share with likeminded souls, knowing we are always welcome. The door down the hall is always unlocked.
And when we’ve settled in, it’s as though we are sharing a piece of ourselves with confidence.
Awesome writing, Wally.
Thank you Tim, I think you really narrowed it down. I remember being shy so many years ago and then I felt comfortable sharing. It’s been a journey for many of us and now we found this place that does feel like home.
Really enjoyed this. You wrote what a home should be. Thank you.
Thank you very much Fia. For some it takes a while, but the names and camaraderie we build gives us that comfort we seek in like minded writers and poets.
Hope you’re doing well.
